Our beautiful bungalow:
Here it is! A restored1920's bungalow in Highland Historic District... which will soon be our home! :-D The driveway is off to the right. (You can barely see Kathy's Mom standing in it.)
((Note: All the furniture in these pictures belongs to the current owner.))

The front porch. We love the details on the doors. The door straight ahead goes into the living room. The door to the left goes into the alcove off the bedroom.

What you see when you walk in the front door. This will be our living room. Through the archway is the dining room. The door at the back is into our kitchen. You can barely see it in this picture, but the wall to the left is an accent wall, painted a deep plum. We will keep the accent wall but change the color.
The beautiful (original!) hardwood floors you see here are throughout the house, except in the laundry room (linoleum) and bathroom (tile).

Window seat in the dining room. Love love love! The seats lift up for storage.

Front bedroom, which may be the master bedroom. There are three windows on the left wall which I didn't manage to capture. There are currently blinds on the closets in the bedrooms. We will replace these with curtains in the short run and doors in the long run.
I hate the peach paint in this room, but I don't yet know what color we'll paint in here.

There's an alcove off the front bedroom that used to be part of the front porch but has been enclosed. These built-ins are on one end of the alcove. The door goes out to the front porch. We may use it for a big closet/vanity/dressing room, or we may use it for a computer/office space.

The bathroom. Currently there is only a shower stall. We will take this out and install a bathtub - hopefully a claw-foot tub if we can find an affordable refurbished one. (Note above that there's a ceiling fan even in the bathroom - the only rooms with no ceiling fans are the dining room and the laundry room.)

Pedestal sink and toilet in the bathroom. There is a storage closet on the other side of the bathroom, behind the door, that you can't see here.

Second bedroom. I think we're going to make this a playroom/TV room and possibly also the computer room.

Third bedroom - the small one. This will be Annabelle's nursery. The curtains will be replaced very quickly. :)

Laundry room. The washer and dryer are two years old, Kenmores, and they're included in our deal! (That's Annabelle and her Nana - Kathy's Mom - in the shot)

My beautiful kitchen. I plan to put in an island when we can afford it. That corner cabinet on the left has a multi-level lazy susan. My mom noted that the cabinets and drawers are well-made and will last forever.
High-up cabinets in the kitchen. I don't know what I will store up there, but we'll by-golly need a ladder to get it down!
The rest of my cabinets and the stove. The stove and fridge (which you can't see in these pictures) are also two years old and are also included in our deal. We plan to get a portable dishwasher to avoid cutting into any of the beautiful cabinets; it will live next to the fridge in the area of the kitchen you can't see here.

Back yard as seen from the back porch. I think we'll take out a lot of this ground cover and open the yard up a bit for Annabelle. Off to the right, on the other side of our fence, is a carport we can access from the back alley.

Here's another detail we love. This corner window is on the other end of the alcove off the front bedroom.

Memorial stones laid into the walkway across the front of the house. We don't know their significance or history yet, but we plan to find out!

One side of memorial stones. Text reads: No pain, no grief, no anxious fear / Can reach the peaceful sleeper here

The other side just has a date - 1887.

So, that's it!
We close on June 23rd, and this will become Home Sweet Home. :-)
